Making your selections
Enrolling in the Health and Wellness Program
When you’ll enrol, you’ll need to:
- Choose your coverage options (Gold, Gold+) for the Health Benefit, Dental Benefit and Long-Term Disability
- Select your coverage status (single, single parent, couple, family) or choose to opt out of the Health and Dental Benefits (if you have coverage elsewhere)
- Choose how you want to use and/or allocate your flexible dollars
- Decide if you want optional coverage for added financial security and peace of mind (Optional Life Insurance and Optional Critical Illness Insurance)
- Complete your beneficiary designations
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T ENROL?
The following default coverage will apply:
• Gold option for the Health Benefit, Dental Benefit and Long-Term Disability, if eligible
• Single status
• Any flexible dollars will be split 50/50 between your HCSA and PSA
• Your current optional coverage will be transferred
Enrolling in the Savings Program
When you’ll enrol, you’ll need to:
- Set your RRSP contribution rate (0.5% to 3% to get the employer match, if eligible)
- Choose your investment selections (Ready-made option or Do-it-yourself option)
- Complete your beneficiary designations
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T ENROL?
If your participation in the Savings Program is mandatory, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the DCPP and RRSP to receive the automatic employer contribution. Without investment instructions, your accumulated assets and future contributions will be invested in the Ready-made investment option, a target date fund with the retirement date closest to age 65.
